I know.

The CB came with a cigarette lighter plug – which was fine. Then I added the sub – which I discovered needed to be ignition switched – and, well, I was “eager” to see it all working. (Which it does).

The CB is pretty deep, but just about fits on the dash. The wiring, though is an eyesore.

So grand plan for today (on the basis that it doesn’t piss down with rain for once) is to install a MUD UK Roof Console, fit the CB in the centre DIN, and wire the CB and Sub into the cigarette lighter fuse using a fuse tap.

The wiring “should”(tm) then run behind the console, and the co-ax for the CB come straight through the roof lining and behind the console too.

What could possibly go wrong!
